The X Games gallantly shook up Minneapolis during the first week of August. The weather was balmy and hot downtown throughout the long weekend and crowds ventured in to experience the X Games with eager hearts.
STAR was elated to assist in the creation of a wonderful, interactive Ice Dome, presented by Studio X. The cool space lit up during the X Games Minneapolis, hosting dozens of events during the weekend inside its curved, white walls. A series of “X Talks” covered topics in the sports industry and sets by local and national DJs shook up the experience (hello, Prince Dance Party). STAR managed all of the X Talks and logistics during the event. Inside the dome was a stage and DJ booth branded with colorful X Games flair (fabricated by STAR), monitors, round ottomans and seating, hanging decoration, and artful waterfall lighting (by Limbic Media). The dome was created by Dome Guys.
It was so enlightening and innovating for STAR to partner with Studio X, Limbic Media, and the X Games Minneapolis to produce the Ice Dome. The world-class atmosphere could take someone’s breath away and interacting with music enthusiasts, art lovers, and families made the unique space magical.
The Ice Dome engaged with X Games Minneapolis audience from August 1 – 4, 2019. STAR supports both X Games Aspen and X Games Minneapolis games for ESPN.
