Washington County

Corporate Interior Project

Due east of the Twin Cities, Washington County, Minnesota’s fifth most populous county, is home to wooded parks along the St. Croix River, historic towns, bustling suburbs and a new state-of-the-art Public Works building.

Called “North Shop” and located in Stillwater, the county seat, the building embodies the county’s mission and values, and creates an engaging environment for employees thanks, in part, to Star.

A long-time Washington County partner, Star designed, fabricated and installed branded elements within the building, including:

  • Wall graphics and text that convey the county’s mission to “plan, build and maintain a better Washington County”
  • Hallway cabinetry that houses awards, digital displays and employee bulletins
  • A photo wall that honors road and maintenance employees

Delighted with the internal branding work, Washington County also asked Star to value-engineer, design, fabricate and install a large external sign, which acts as a branded billboard for the Public Works building.
