We are proud to have partnered with Pella over the past 25 years on both their trade show marketing activities as well as their retail environments. So when the Pella team asked us to help them update their Experience Centers across the country, we were excited to once again flex our retail muscles for this valued client.
Retail roll-out is one of STAR’s areas of expertise. From building the Mall of America wayfinding kiosk system to countless pop-up retail and larger footprint store design, we understand the variables, priorities, and challenges that come with retail. Now, add on top of that the need to address an effective merchandising approach for a large, heavy, and cumbersome, high-touch product line like windows and doors. This assignment was not for the faint of heart.
Pella engaged with STAR to value engineer, fabricate and install up to 125 Experience Centers and 75 Showrooms over a three-year period and beyond. The heavy lifting of this initiative required fabrication of a 6000 lb. metal overhead track and wheel system to hold 27 window and door slabs cartridges along with four door composites. We also fabricated a welcome desk, workbench, storage cabinet for samples, and custom cladding for all of the store locations. The project required a full, turn-key display system including graphics, technology, and Pella products shipped and installed to each location.
This large initiative is well underway with several Experience Centers complete and a full docket scheduled to meet Pella’s 2019 and beyond rollout needs. Stay tuned for more details.
