A lobby is worth a thousand words. What it says about your company is immediately cemented in the minds of both your customers and employees. Factory Motor Parts (FMP) knew this and was looking to create a new and impactful lobby space. They wanted to show they are a modern company, in for the long haul and committed to growth. Star’s initial sketches and renderings developed into a beautiful experience that perfectly exhibited FMP’s corporate vision.
The two-story lobby offered a beautiful canvas with which to welcome visitors. Using outlines of “parts” as texture, the design draws attention to FMP’s core business. We added special design components including a vapor fireplace and large water feature to make the room feel modern and unique. A massive digital screen allows the lobby to also be used as a meeting and event space complete with built-in video conferencing. Whether hosting a new potential client, a company-wide meeting, or conferring with satellite branches and affiliates around the world, this grand new entrance to FMP HQ is so much more than a lobby.
STAR was honored to not only lead the design, but also take the lead as project management. By having a hand in the selection and oversight of the architect, general contractor and AV partners, we stayed on task with both the budget and creative vision of this highly functional remodeled space.
